Welcome to the Intellectual Property Section

PURPOSE OF THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY SECTION OF THE UTAH STATE BAR

The purpose of the Intellectual Property Section is to provide a forum for learning and exchanging ideas among all members of Utah's legal profession who are interested in patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property matters. The Section provides CLE luncheons, as well as an annual, national CLE conference, the Utah IP Summit. The Intellectual Property Section seeks to provide increased opportunity for social and professional interaction among Utah's intellectual property community through the CLE luncheons and the Utah IP Summit. The Section also serves the legal education community as a resource for law students interested in practicing intellectual property law.

Sponsorship Opportunities for the Utah IP Summit (February 13, 2009):  

As with last year, the cost of sponsorship is $750 dollars and includes the following:

1. Logo printed in IP Summit mailers (approx. 400 people)
2. Logo displayed in a rotating fashion with other logos during speaker intermission.
3. 1 Full page advertisement in the IP Summit materials (State Bar will cover costs for making black and white copies of the advertisements. Sponsor is responsible for providing color advertisements (approx. 250 copies) to the State Bar for inclusion within the IP Summit materials).
4. Booth space in the foyer of our meeting. Please let us know if your firm/company will need a table to display promotional materials.

An additional sponsorship opportunity is available this year. If your firm/company is interested in co-sponsoring a reception for law students interested in clerkships, please contact us for more information.
