Salt Lake City, UT—Nini Rich has been appointed as the new director of the Utah State Court’s alternative dispute resolution programs. In this position, Rich will oversee the court’s mediation and dispute resolution programs as well as a staff of 10.
Prior to being appointed to the position, Rich worked as a child welfare mediator for the state courts for eight years. Before joining the courts, Rich spent six years as the executive director for Wasatch Community Gardens, which is a local nonprofit that serves the Salt Lake area through youth and community gardening programs.
Rich is a graduate of Pomona College in Claremont, Calif., where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations. She has completed post-graduate training in Conflict Resolution at the University of Utah and advanced training in mediation and negotiation through the Harvard Negotiation Insight Initiative in Cambridge, Mass.
