Utah Law Related Education Project Mock Trial Judges Needed

[Mock Trial Calendar]
Dear Fellow Members of the Utah Bar:

The Utah Mock Trial Competition is back for 2008 and we are seeking attorney judges to judge trials! If you have participated in this event in the past, you will remember what a fun and rewarding experience it can be, and if you have never participated, please consider volunteering on a judging panel--you will be glad you volunteered!

Each judging panel consists of 2 attorney judges and 1 "community" judge, and we are asking members of the Utah Bar to volunteer for attorney judge positions. There is currently a need for attorney judges for trials on a variety of dates, times and locations set forth in the attached "2008 Mock Trial Judging Commitment" form. Please refer to the attached form for additional details, including the times, dates and locations for each trial and the positions that need to be filled. The symbol "( )" indicates a need for a judge at a particular trial.

If you are willing to participate, please fill out the attached form to indicate the specific date(s), time(s) and location(s) to which you will commit to be a judge. Trial dates are in February, March and April.

Please note that attorney judges are needed as early as Friday, February 29, so your early response would be greatly appreciated! Once the form is filled out, please (i) fax it to (801) 323-9732 OR (ii) mail it to Mock Trial Coordinator, Utah Law Related Education, 645 South 200 East, Suite 101, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111. You may also e-mail your commitment information to lre@icw.com.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to use your skills for the benefit of the community. We are confident the experience will be memorable for all.
