The Road Home Food & Clothing Drive

The Young Lawyers Division (YLD) is helping with a collection drive for The Road Home. If you would like to donate, you may put your items in the closet on the main level of the Bar's office close to the reception desk. YLD will start collecting on Monday, November 12 and will pick-up the donated items on Friday, November 16. Please view the brochure for needed items. Thank you to all who help with this year's Road Home collection drive.

Utah Judicial Council Votes to Approve Justice Court Study Committee Proposal

Salt Lake City, Utah—The Utah Judicial Council voted today to recommend legislation that would create a more independent Justice Court system. At today’s Council meeting, Utah Supreme Court Justice Ronald E. Nehring presented the final report by the Justice Court Study Committee, which included the following recommendations:

The Judicial Council has approved amendments to the following Utah court rules.

Code of Judicial Administration

CJA 04-409. Council approval of Problem Solving Courts. New. Establishes Council enforcement of minimum requirements and reporting for drug courts and other problem solving courts.
