NOMINATIONS FOR THE CHRISTINE M. DURHAM WOMAN LAWYER OF THE YEAR AWARD

DUE APRIL 11, 2007

Women Lawyers of Utah (WLU) annually awards the Christine M. Durham Woman Lawyer of the Year Award. Nominations for the 2007 recipient of this award are presently being solicited from all members of the Bar, and must be submitted by no later than April 11, 2007.

ELIGIBILITY:

Any woman who is a member of the Utah State Bar and is actively involved in a law-related activity, including government service, education, the judiciary, private practice or corporate practice.

CRITERIA:

The recipient of the award shall have:

1. Demonstrated professional excellence and integrity;

2. Through her work and activities, displayed an awareness of the needs and concerns of women; and

3. Helped to advance the position of women generally or in the legal profession.

PROCEDURE:

1. Nominations shall be in writing, naming the person, describing her qualifications and stating why she should be considered for the award. If possible, a resume or bio should be attached to the nomination letter. A list of former recipients of this award is available at www.utahwomenlawyers.org.

2. Nominations may be submitted by email, facsimile or mail, but must be received by no later than April 11, 2007.

PRESENTATION OF THE AWARD:

The award will be presented at WLU's annual Spring Fireside Event, which this year will be held on April 26, 2006. Details regarding that event will follow, and also can be found at www.utahwomenlawyers.org.
