Bar Seeks Financial/Licensing Administrator
The Utah State Bar is seeking a Financial/Licensing Administrator. This position is responsible for all finances; maintenance of the licensing databases and the annual re-licensing process. The position also oversees benefits and payroll for 30-plus employees. Requirements include 3-5 years experience as a controller or accounting manager and a CPA designation. The position involves hands-on accounting work. Qualified applicants must demonstrate the ability and willingness to do detail work and have the ability to communicate effectively and courteously with lawyers and the general public. Paralegal Award Nominations Sought
The Paralegal Division of the Utah State Bar and Legal Assistants Association of Utah (LAAU) are seeking nominations for the 2007 Distinguished Paralegal of the Year Award. This award will be presented at the Paralegal Day Luncheon on May 17, 2007, in Salt Lake City, to a Utah paralegal who, over a long and distinguished career, has by their ethical and personal conduct, commitment and activities, exemplified for their fellow paralegals and the attorneys with whom they work, the epitome of professionalism and who has also rendered extraordinary contributions to the profession.
