2006/2007 Licensing Deadline – July 31, 2006
The deadline for renewing your 2006/2007 licensing is Monday July 31st. Licensing payments received or officially postmarked after the deadline will be charged an additional $50.00 late fee. You can renew your license and pay your dues online at www.myutahbar.org. You access this site with the same login and password you use for Casemaker. If you need your login and password information, please send an e-mail to onlineservices@utahbar.org. If you mailed your payment and form in, it usually takes two to three weeks for processing and for you to receive your renewal sticker back in the mail. If you have questions about licensing, please e-mail licensing@utahbar.org or call (801) 297-7020.
Inactive Full-Service Members Now Receive Casemaker
Members with a status of Inactive Full-Service can now access the FREE Casemaker online legal research service. To utilize this service you need to have a valid e-mail address on record with the Bar. Casemaker includes 31 state libraries and additional federal and national libraries. For login information please send an e-mail to onlineservices@utahbar.org. Solo / Small Firm Section Meeting - August 15th
The Solo / Small Firm Section of the Bar is holding a reorganization meeting on August 15, 2006 at 12:00 noon at the Law & Justice Center. At this meeting the Section will elect a new chair. Model Utah Jury Instructions Available Online
The Model Utah Jury Instructions 2d (MUJI) are now available online at the Utah Courts website. This new edition includes both civil and criminal jury instructions and will be a continual work in progress with ongoing updates. Lawyers with input on the instructions are encouraged to share their experience and suggestions with the advisory committee involved.
