Casemaker Updates!
In July, the Colorado Library went live on the Casemaker system. This adds another 10th Circuit state to the system along with its case law and statutes. Check out the new library contents by logging in at www.utahbar.org/casemaker/Welcome.html. You will need to have an e-mail address on record with the Bar to access the system. Recently two more states, West Virginia and Kentucky, signed into the Casemaker Consortium. This brings the total number of participating states to 22. If you have questions about the Casemaker service, please contact the Bar at onlineservices@utahbar.org.

2006 Budget Available
At the July Meeting of the Bar Commission the 2006 budget was adopted. A copy of the budget in pdf format is available at www.utahbar.org/documents/2006_Fiscal_Budget_Proposed.pdf. 10th Circuit Seeks Comments on Proposed Rules
The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals is seeking comment on a number of proposed rule changes. Changes include increasing the number of copies that must be provided, adopting required electronic filing language and the like. If interested, please contact the Clerk of the Court (Patrick J. Fisher, Jr. at 303-844-3157) or electronically access www.ca10.uscourts.gov to review the proposed revisions and submit comments on line.

Utah State Law Library Document Delivery Service
Did you know that the Utah State Law Library offers a document delivery service? Library staff will copy and fax or mail cases, law reviews, Utah appellate briefs and other library materials to attorneys throughout the state. For more information about this service and fees, see their website at www.utcourts.gov/lawlibrary/info.asp#delivery, or call them at 801-238-7990.

Archive of Web Sites Available
The Internet Archive (www.archive.org) provides an extensive library of web sites for research purposes. As well, it has a “Way Back Machine” that allows you to view historical web sites from the past. A recent New York Times article made reference to the fact the historical archive has been used for discovery purposes, allowing litigants to obtain past copies of web sites. This site can serve as a useful research resource for lawyers.

Member Benefit Highlight – Global Fraud Solutions

Global Fraud Solutions offers CasePlanner, an Identity Theft Risk Management & Resolution Software for Consumers.
