2004 Annual Bar Awards Nominations Sought
The Bar Commission is seeking nominations for the 2004 Annual Bar Awards. These awards honor those whose professionalism and dedication have significantly enhanced the legal profession. The awards include: Judge of the Year, Lawyer of the Year and Section/Committee of the Year. Please submit award nominations in writing to: Maud Thurman, 645 South 200 East, SLC UT 84111 no later than April 23, 2004.

Clothing Donations Needed for the Young Lawyers Annual 'Law Suit' Day
April 5th through the 9th the Utah Law & Justice Center will be accepting gently used business and business casual clothing on behalf of the Annual Young Lawyer 'Lay Suit' Drive. 50th Anniversary of Brown v Board Web Site Up
The Utah State Bar, in cooperation with the Commission on Racial and Ethnic Fairness, is helping coordinate and promote a variety of events celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Brown v. Board Decision. For more information and updates, check out www.utahbar.org/brownvboard.

NAACP Brown v Board Events
The Salt Lake Branch of the NAACP is holding Brown v Board 50th Anniversary celebration events as well. On April 27 is the Civil Rights Forum on Brown at 6:00 p.m. at the Law & Justice Center. On May 11 is a banquet at 6:00 p.m. at the Little America Hotel featuring Dr. Ernest L. Holloway, President of Langston University. CaseMaker Petition Approved
In the last e-Bulletin, we noted that a Petition had been filed requesting approval to proceed on the CaseMaker program. On March 1st the Utah Supreme Court approved this request. Now the Bar is securing this program to make it available for members later this year. If you would like more information about CaseMaker, please e-mail casemaker@utahbar.org.

10th Circuit Court Conference
Coming up in July, the 10th Circuit Court will be holding its annual conference in Utah. For more information about this conference, go to: www.ck10.uscourts.gov/judconf/.
