Position Objective & Summary Job Description
The Paralegal role is a critical part of a fast-paced Legal Department responsible for supporting multiple business types as well as corporate litigation. The selected candidate will be accountable to:
• Prepare legal documents for review, approval, and use by Counsel.
• Manage and coordinate the internal dispute resolution process.
• Coordinate all Company litigation activities with inside and outside Counsel.
• Research legal issues.
• Acts as law librarian, keeping and monitoring legal volumes and ensuring legal volumes are up-to-date.
• Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
The selected candidate will have a Bachelors degree and/or paralegal certification, at least 5 years of paralegal experience in a fast-paced corporate legal department and/or law office, experience managing litigation, the ability to work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams, the ability to multi-task, have strong organizational skills and attention to detail and demonstrated abilities to interact at all levels of an organization. Candidates with experience in franchising are strongly preferred but not required.
