Salary: $45,900 - $70,000/yr. DOQ + 6% annual performance bonus potential, housing allowance eligibility and excellent benefits.
Under the direction of the City Attorney, serves as in-house counsel to the City Council and all of the City’s boards, commissions, and staff. Area of practice is concentrated within the following fields of law: Local government, land use, state and federal constitutional law, contracts, real property, employment, and civil litigation. Assists in managing work plan for 1-2 law clerks and development and coordination of two Paralegals. Criminal prosecution experience preferred, but can train.
Required: J.D. from accredited law school, admission to Utah Bar and computer literacy in Microsoft Office software. Preferred: Municipal experience (2 - 5 years)and land use or related field (2 - 5 years)..
